Invitation to Small Business Focus Group
Changes are due to occur in the legislation (On 1 January 2011 the Trade Practices Act 1974 was renamed the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) relating to small business in 2012. You’re (free) invitation to this focus group session aims to work with centres to work out methods of best disseminating this information on to small business owners and to educate small business network providers about these changes.
Consumer Protection will use this group to source knowledge about the best ways to access small businesses and how educational information should be prepared to best allow for maximum small business coverage and education.

Historically, small business owners have been a hard group for the Department of Commerce to reach. This focus group aims to work with small business network providers and small business owners, to find ways to best reach small businesses.
Access
City West Reception Centre is a short walk from City West train station. Alternatively, free all-day parking is available at the venue. Validated permits are available at the registration desk on the day of the focus group, to all attendees.

Basic MYOB and Intermediate Workshops will commence in March registrations are now open under Workshops. Free legal monthly clinics commence in Feb and will be held onve a month. If you need to speak to someone about your business, please contact us to reservea a time. If you wish to received notification about our workshops please register as a new member.
